Stations

Sense of safety and contextual integration

OUTDOOR RAILING

We are specialists in station architecture. We create spaces for comfortable and safe transit, integrated into the city and supporting users’ movement between modes of transport and destinations

  • A station should be experienced as a safe place – both during rush hour and at midnight. Safety is created through clear sightlines, good lighting, and well-designed, welcoming spaces. With passenger comfort as a guiding principle, we design stations where travellers feel welcome, safe, and in control of their surroundings.

    Movement and accessibility

An effective and intuitive flow of movement is essential to a good station experience. We prioritise clear wayfinding, recognisable orientation points, and high accessibility – regardless of mobility. The station layout ensures a logical and seamless transition between arrival, ticketing, and platform access.

    Urban integration and contextual design

The station is an integral part of the urban fabric. That’s why we adapt our design to local architecture, scale, and materials. We create attractive transition and stay zones that invite use and make the station an active, vibrant part of the city. Some stations are designed to blend discreetly into their context, while others can take on a more distinctive expression, serving as architectural landmarks. Each solution is unique and shaped by a harmonious interplay between function, form, place, and identity.

    Functionality and future-proof

Stations with high user frequency place significant demands on operations, maintenance, and durability. We work with robust materials and technically well-considered solutions that ensure longevity and ease of maintenance. At the same time, we think ahead – ensuring that our stations are designed to evolve over time in step with new forms of mobility and emerging technologies.
