    Wheel bridges

The wheel bridges rise as architectural landmarks in the progressive new district. The construction follows a suspension bridge concept, where the pylons are made up of the two giant steel rings rising 50 metres above sea level. In order not to break the circles, the 28-metre-wide bridge girder is divided into two and connected crosswise with steel cross beams.

The two twin bridges are placed parallel to each other at a distance of 800 metres, which allows them to be seen simultaneously. The view of one circle within the other when two bridges are seen from a certain angle is also a remarkable feature, demonstrating the elegance of the pylons while reinforcing an aesthetic connection with the faceted piers.

  • A demand for the extraordinary

Like other buildings in the Gulf States, the bridges indicate the demand for ‘something extraordinary’ that can create awareness both locally and internationally.
